Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front-end Developer Svelte to join our development team. You will work on the frontend of our enterprise application and be responsible for developing complex, performant, and scalable user interfaces that seamlessly integrate with our .NET backend.

In this role, you will combine your expertise in Svelte with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture. You will work closely with a backend developer and be responsible for:

  • Developing complex Svelte components and features for our enterprise SaaS application
  • Implementing robust state management solutions (Svelte stores, context API)
  • Integrating with our .NET Core Web APIs via RESTful endpoints and SignalR / WebSockets for real-time updates
  • Implementing authentication and authorisation flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT tokens, role-based access control)
  • Building a multi-tenancy architecture ensuring tenant isolation at the frontend level
  • Implementing client-side caching strategies and optimising API calls
  • Developing a robust internationalisation (i18n) system for multilingual support (NL, FR, EN, DE)
  • Optimising performance and bundle sizes with Vite and code-splitting techniques
  • Implementing responsive designs and cross-browser compatibility
  • Collaborating with backend developers on API contract definition and optimisation
  • Conducting code reviews and sharing best practices with the team
  • Contributing to the architecture and technical decisions of the frontend

Your Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a front-end developer, of which 3+ years with Svelte
  • Enterprise mindset: You think in terms of scalability, security, performance, and maintainability
  • Problem solver: You analyse complex problems and come up with elegant solutions
  • Code quality: You write clean and well-documented code
  • Team player: You enjoy working with backend developers and product owners
  • Communicative: You can clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Eager to learn: You stay up-to-date with the latest front-end trends and technologies
  • Independent: You take ownership of features and can work autonomously
  • Languages: Dutch or English is a must

Technical Requirements

  • Svelte/SvelteKit expertise: 3+ years of experience with Svelte and in-depth knowledge of the framework
  • JavaScript/TypeScript: Expert level in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Enterprise patterns: Experience with large-scale applications, state management, and architectural patterns
  • API integration: Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets/SignalR for real-time communication
  • Authentication & Authorisation: Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT implementations
  • Multi-tenant architecture: Understanding of tenant isolation, data segmentation, and security in multi-tenant systems
  • Caching strategies: Knowledge of client-side caching (service workers, localStorage)
  • Internationalisation: Experience with i18n libraries and multi-language implementations / RESX resources
  • Build tools: Experience with Vite, Rollup, Webpack, and module bundling
  • Version control: Git expertise and CI/CD workflows
